JED LARSON grew up in north central Minnesota and has been writing, performing and recording original music—ranging from progressive electronic to avant garde classical—since his early teens. As a violinist, pianist, guitarist, and vocalist, he has written for and played in groups and ensembles for over twenty years. Based in the Minneapolis area, he has written independent projects and commissions for academic groups and professional ensembles performing and touring in the US and Canada. Formal music studies include the discipline of composition at University of South Florida and Bemidji State University, as well as audio synthesis and sound programming under Mary Roberts at University of Minnesota Moorhead.
